Silent Luau was first brewed when we came up with the idea of putting pineapple in Silent Disco. What was meant to be a test batch ended up being the largest batch of any beer we brewed in Emmaus for the year in 2021.
Although it was a huge success we listened to feedback from our customers and brew team and decided there just wasn’t enough pineapple in it. We have tweaked the recipe over the last 3 years to end up with a recipe that while still inspired by Silent Disco stands on its own as a completely unique beer. We have shifted the hop varieties to be more complimentary to the pineapple, reduced the bitterness and have made our wort more acidic to make the fruit flavor punch through.
